Chicago

So...my Cubbies finished an abominable last in the National League. For a long time now, I had been holding out, saying that Mark Prior and Kerry Wood would get better, and my boys would start taking names and summat. Well I have given up hope for that idea. In fact, I've just given up hope for the Cubbies in general. It's Raiders all the way this winter, baby.

In honour of my Cubbies awesome season, here's two different editions, and one regular of the best song off of Illinois. Even I, who viewed Illinois as overrated (still good, but not that good), find this song to be downright excellent. Maybe if the Cubs listened to this song they'd put their act together.

In unrelated news, I got a promo for Swan Lake's debut, Beast Moans, the other day, and it's damn good. I really didn't expect much, given that it is a collaboration of the three most obnoxiously-voiced Canadian musicians, but my low expectations were mowed down. The voices are not as prominent as they are in these artists' other works, and the ambient, frightening music is excellent. It's very similar to Kid A, but less electronic. I'm not saying it's going to be getting a 10.0 from Pitch4k or anything, just saying that style wise it is similar to Radiohead's best. Though you've heard it...

Head on over to Gvs.B for another - JJ doesn't like people posting non-certified tracks, so I don't want to upset them. They're a nice label and they've got some excellent stuff.

Do you think that it's true, if you make enough noise, you get linked???
